Emerging Actives and Delivery Systems

Squalane, peptide complexes, and microalgae-derived lipids have appeared in 22 percent of new deep moisturizing night cream launches since January 2024, according to Cosmetics Business Cosmetics Business. Companies including Aesop and The Ordinary have adopted airless pump packaging and opaque tubes to improve ingredient stability and reduce oxidation of unsaturated lipids.
