The lead singer of Incubus is Brandon Boyd. He has served as the band's primary vocalist since the group formed in 1995 in Calabasas, California. Boyd is also known for his work as a visual artist and author, and he remains the public face of the band's touring and recording activities Forbes.

Brandon Boyd's vocal style blends melodic singing with spoken-word and aggressive delivery. He shares lead vocal duties with guitarist Mike Einziger, who also provides backing vocals and occasional lead lines. The current core lineup features Boyd, Einziger, bassist Ben Kenney, and drummer José Pasillas.

Incubus Band History and Vocalist Lineup

Incubus was formed in 1995 by Mike Einziger, José Pasillas, and Dirk Lance, who later left the band. Brandon Boyd joined early and became the defining voice of the group. The band signed with Epic Records in 1999 and released the major-label debut album "Make Yourself," which featured the hit single "Drive" SEC filings.

The band went on hiatus in 2002 while members pursued side projects, including Brandon Boyd's solo work and Einziger's involvement with the band Time Lapse Consortium. Incubus reunited in 2004 and released "A Crow Left of the Murder" in 2004, followed by "Light Grenades" in 2006, maintaining Boyd as lead vocalist throughout Billboard.

Brandon Boyd Solo Career and Side Projects

Brandon Boyd released his first solo album, "The Wild Trapeze," in 2010. He has published multiple books of poetry and illustrations, including "White Fluffy Clouds" and "The Nervous System." His visual art has been exhibited in galleries across the United States Artnet.

Outside of Incubus, Boyd has collaborated with electronic and hip-hop artists, contributing vocals and artwork. He continues to tour with Incubus and participate in festival appearances, maintaining a presence in both the rock and alternative music scenes AllMusic.
